Flyers get Versteeg

The Philadelphia Flyers have acquired forward Kris Versteeg in a trade with the Montreal Maple Leafs.
 
In exchange, the Flyers sent draft picks to the Maple Leafs. Toronto received the Flyers first and third round selections in 2011.
 
The trade makes a lot of sense for both sides. The Flyers get a player who can help them win the Stanley Cup and the Maple Leafs get draft picks to help them rebuild.
 
Versteeg was obviously very excited about the trade, knowing that it sends them to the top team in the Eastern Conference. (Read More…)
